Description
"It was like a war zone." That was how Charlie Anderson described his beloved Tree Tops Resort after the fire. He and his wife Gale had been camping in Chattanooga when flames roared through Gatlinburg with little warning. 100 people had been in occupancy; yet some had left early. The road from the pedestals was blocked. But one employee knew of a back road to 321, saving everyone. Thanks to insurance, Tree Tops Resort has been built like it was before ($30 million). Charlie Anderson said COVID was harder financially. He passed away on April 29, 2021.
