Description
The fire was an equal opportunity destroyer. Rich, poor, young, old, public servants, first responders, business owners-- all lost their homes. In the flames. The devastation was so widespread that initially even city leaders had moments of doubt. But encouragement came in private moments. Longtime city manager Cindy Cameron Ogle, who lost her home confided to Mayor Mike Werner's wife Cindy (who lost a home and business) , "I can't do this." Werner replied, " You have to do it, we need you." Then they prayed together.
