Description
Multiple interviewees said they were concerned for visitors who weren’t from the Gatlinburg area. Many tourists were visiting at the time of the fire, several people mentioned fears about those visitors finding their way out with so many roads closed or blocked. Charlie Anderson talked about one of his employees at the rental resort he manages and owns. He said this young man drove his pickup to lead several cars of visitors unfamiliar with the area out a dirt backroad to safety.
