Description

The day of the fire Sarah Reagan was trying to teach third grade at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School in Gatlinburg, but the children were distracted. The distant smoke was getting closer and thicker outside the school, clearly visible through their classroom windows. “Then I started getting frightened . . . it was changing very quickly.”
